How Satan Attacks You

Ever seen the movie Top Gun with Tom Cruise? The Movie classic where he’s fighting off U.S. enemies in that crazy cool fighter jet?

Well if you haven’t, you obviously don’t need to watch it in order to know how sneaky and effective “aerial” or “air” attacks are in war.

My question for you is, wouldn’t you want to know if your own enemy was using this strategy?

You see in the life of a Christ follower, there is never a day that goes by without spiritual warfare. And never a day in which Satan does not tempt us in some form or fashion.

How do I know if Satan is attacking me?

1 Peter 5:8 says Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” and

Ephesians 2:2 describes him as the “prince of the power of the air.”

This lets us know that Satan is constantly lurking around attempting to attack through the air.

“But how specifically?”

By the music you’re listening to. By the movies, shows, and social media videos you’re watching. Even through the communication of people you shouldn’t be talking to (See 1 Cor. 15:33).

As you reflect on the week, I want you to ask yourself, “Have I been cautious about what I allow into my mind?”

If it hasn’t been pretty, maybe ask God to help you clean some things up. Our eyes are the windows to our souls right?
